Currently Reading

Horror Aficionados on  Goodreads is currently reading Shirley Jackson's "We have Always Lived in the Castle" which is the March read that has a special place for discussion ( so much more fun to read something you can talk about, extends the meaning of the book itself) each month a new book is picked, this is the first time I will be doing the monthly read/discussion with them. I read her previous bestseller, “The Haunting of Hill House” which was incredible, the movie was fun but nothing can ever top the book, so I'm really looking forward to this, 20 pages in and it's oddly alluring, an old fashoned quality marred with something different that grabs my interest right away.

I just started so more coming up soon… below is some neat info from Wiki for those new to Jackson and her talents.

Shirley Jackson (December 14, 1916 – August 8, 1965) was an American author. A popular writer in her time, her work has received increasing attention from literary critics in recent years. She has influenced such writers as Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Nigel Kneale and Richard Matheson.[1].. WIKI

I LOVE Shirley Jackson. The Haunting of Hill House is still one of my all time favs for haunted house stories. The original movie was better than the remake, IMO.

Hi MIchelle, thank you for stopping by, I have to agree THoHH was incredible, the movie was okay but rarely it will be able to outshine a book, especially this one.

I love your own blog, browsing though it now :)
